The International Repair Caf\u00e9 Week (IRCW) is almost here again! It\u2019s happening from 14 to 22 October. All over the world volunteers will be organising meetings focusing on repairs. With the IRCW we are putting the subject of repairs in the international spot light.<\/p>\n

Repair Caf\u00e9 is 8<\/strong>
\nOn Wednesday 18 October 2017 it will be exactly eight years since Martine Postma organised the very first Repair Caf\u00e9. On this day in 2009, dozens of locals came to a theatre in Amsterdam-West with broken items. And now there are almost 1,400 Repair Caf\u00e9s in 33 countries on six continents.<\/p>\n

The IRCW is not a big party at one location. The IRCW is a huge party spread across hundreds of Repair Caf\u00e9 locations<\/a>! Every team celebrates its own party by repairing items with visitors. Maybe they\u2019ll have a special theme or bunting with cakes. Anything\u2019s possible. The local organisers decide.<\/p>\n

Repair Caf\u00e9 on campus<\/strong>
\nRepair Caf\u00e9 Portland<\/a>, in the United States, for example, will be hosting a repair session on the campus of the local Community College.<\/p>\n
