There\u2019s a good chance that our volunteers can find the problem <em>and<\/em> solve it together with you.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Soldering a wire of your Christmas lights&#8217; cord<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>In 60 percent of the cases, Christmas lights\u2019 cords are repaired successfully. This is evident from the RepairMonitor, in which volunteers keep track of their repair data. Sometimes, it\u2019s enough to replace one of the cord\u2019s lights. Sometimes, a wire has to be soldered. At the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.repaircafe.org\/en\/visit\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Repair Caf\u00e9<\/a>, this is usually no problem at all.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Repairing an inflatable Santa<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>But the volunteers tackle more than just Christmas lights. At a Repair Caf\u00e9 in Zwolle (the Netherlands) last year, an inflatable Santa was brought in. It no longer worked. The repairers discovered that the power plug of the pump did not make contact properly. After soldering a wire, Santa came back to life.
